Rush Street Gaming, the organization responsible for the renowned Rivers Casino brand, has appointed seasoned gaming leader Dawn Reynolds Pettit as their new Senior Vice President of Human Capital.
Pettit will play a crucial role in shaping the company’s strategy for recruiting and maintaining top talent, as well as cultivating a robust internal environment. Her objective is to ensure that optimal procedures are implemented consistently for all staff members.
She joins Rush Street from Hard Rock Casino, where she managed Human Resources for numerous tribal gaming establishments across Virginia, Illinois, and Indiana. Pettit also possesses an extensive background with Caesars Entertainment and dedicated nearly two decades to Horseshoe Hammond Casino.
Tim Drehkoff, Chief Executive Officer of Rush Street Gaming, praised Pettit, stating, “Dawn’s history of achievement in constructing high-achieving groups and her dedication to nurturing a positive and encouraging workplace make her the perfect candidate to guide our HR endeavors.” He continued, “As we get ready to launch our fifth Rivers Casino location in Virginia in early 2024, Dawn’s guidance will be essential.”
Pettit will operate from Rush Street’s Chicago headquarters. She conveyed her enthusiasm about joining the organization, remarking, “I have always respected Rush Street Gaming and its standing within the sector. I am eager to partner with the skilled team here, particularly within HR, to further enhance our approach to talent cultivation and solidify Rivers Casino as the preferred employer in every market we serve.”
Following his acceptance of a fresh role at Chicago’s Rush Street Gaming, Petit plans to retain his board positions across several groups. Among these are the Northwest Indiana Food Bank, Indiana University Northwest, the Purdue University Northwest Chancellor’s Executive Council, the Lake Central High School Booster Club, and the Girls on the Run organization.
