They intend to utilize these funds to elevate KB88’s brand recognition, primarily through digital platforms. The organization is particularly keen on interacting with supporters on Weibo, China’s expansive social media network.
Edwin van der Sar, Ajax’s Chief Executive Officer, expressed enthusiasm about the alliance, emphasizing the club’s ongoing pursuit of avenues to connect with their expanding Asian supporter base. This venture follows other fruitful partnerships with Asian enterprises, such as Huawei.
KB88 shares the excitement surrounding the deal. Darren Royle, a spokesperson for the company, emphasized Ajax’s storied legacy and celebrated youth development program as key influences in their choice. They are confident that this collaboration will substantially enhance their presence throughout Asia.
